Engelska 3/9

Watch this talk by Jane McGonigal about computer games:
http://www.ted.com/talks/jane_mcgonigal_gaming_can_make_a_better_world.html

She talks really fast so it is ok if you have English subtitles on. I want you to take notes during her lecture. Tomorrow I expect you to be able to describe her key points using your notes as help.

When you've watched (and understood!) the clip please answer the following questions:
1. Do you agree with her when she says that we should be gaming more? Why/why not?
2. Is it true what she says about gamers never feeling that they won’t be able to succeed?
3. Is it easier to be in a world like Azeroth than in the real world? Why/Why not?
4. Does gaming help you to become a better person or not? Alternatively do the people you know who are gaming becoming better or worse people by gaming?
5. Some people say that playing WoW is bad for you. Are they right in any way or is that completely wrong?
6. Can you come up with ideas on how to use the skills that you develop by gaming in school?
7. Read through the comments on Jane's talk. Choose one, summarize it and give a reply to it. You can do it on Ted.com and in your document. You don't have to though, it's ok if you only share your reply in your document.

If you're done, please go to ed.ted.com and sign up. It is free and really easy if you sign in with your Facebook account. When you've done that watch this clip and work with the questions.
